Starting a Chapter/ Building a Board

Welcome to Impact Manager!

We are delighted you have decided to learn more about Impact100! Whether you are a part of a thriving Impact100 chapter, or you are just beginning to explore what an Impact100 chapter would mean to your community, Impact Manager was designed for YOU! We have designed it to provide valuable information, guidance and team collaboration for your Impact100 leadership team.

My name is Wendy Steele and I am the Founder of Impact100. Back in the summer of 2001, I designed the Impact100 Model in order to empower women to transform their community by pooling resources and offering significant grants to the community.

By the end of 2018, Impact100 had given away more than $67 million to worthy nonprofits. If you are a member in an Impact100 chapter, you made this growth possible! And if you are considering starting a new chapter, you will help us grow our Impact.

By launching an Impact100 chapter in your community, you will join this powerful movement to transform your local community. You’re on the path to becoming a team that democratizes philanthropy and empowers women to see themselves as philanthropists and as a part of the solution in their local community.

Building your Impact100 chapter will be hard work. It will also be one of the most rewarding and powerful things you ever do. You will meet amazing women, learn about the work of remarkable nonprofits and fund local solutions across five broad Focus Areas with transformational grantmaking. So, let’s get started!

The Impact Manager learning system is brand new and was created to help you and your team learn, build and grow the knowledge and experience you need to successfully launch, lead and sustain an Impact100 chapter.

We’ve separated the Impact100 process into 10 Learning Modules, each with its own set of information, resources and next steps for you and your team to follow. Although we give you plenty of practical information, tools and resources, this is not a “plug & play” situation. We know that successful Impact100 groups do best when given a learning experience designed to guide you and your leadership team through the thought process and discussions necessary to launch with intentionality.

As you complete each Element in a Learning Module, be sure to mark as complete before accessing any of the downloadable resources or practicing next steps. Be sure to check out your dashboard along the way to check on your progress and that of your team.

Remember, we are always here if you need additional help. If you would like to reach me directly, my email is: wendy@impact100council.org and my phone number is: 231-632-4034.

I’ll be cheering for your success,

Wendy
