Building Your Founding Board

Wendy Steele

Welcome back!

Welcome back!

“If your actions create a legacy that inspires others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then, you are an excellent leader.” -Dolly Parton

Dolly may have adapted this quote from Thomas Jefferson, but regardless of the source, this is especially true for leaders of Impact100.

Building your Founding Board (or bringing on new board members) is one of the most important things you can do to ensure the success of your Impact100 chapter. Although the Impact100 Model is simple, implementing it is not easy! We believe in a large, diverse, hard-working volunteer leadership team.  Proper execution takes effort and spreading the work around the Board table will greatly increase your success – both in startup and while you operate. The ideal Board is from 15-31 talented, diverse, and high capacity women.

This Learning Module will take you step-by-step through the process that has been successful for other Impact100 chapters. There is no substitute for intentionally building an initial team, and then building and replacing leaders, with intention.  Building diversity from the start is the very best way to lead.

Let’s make an Impact together!

Warmly,

Wendy
